Dr. Amba R. Krishnan, M.D., is a board-certified physician in internal medicine (primary care) and has expertise in geriatrics medicine.
In practice since 1986, Dr. Krishnan uses the latest techniques and knowledge to treat a wide range of health conditions. She takes the time to listen to patient's concerns, review findings of test results and recommend next step for treatment or follow-up. She also treats patients who are referred by other doctors for acute conditions or ongoing medical management.
Her scope of practice encompasses the health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems beginning in early adult and continuing throughout the aging process.
Dr. Krishnan received her medical degree and completed her internship at Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, India. She served a three-year residency in internal medicine at Providence Hospital in Southfield, a two-year fellowship in hematology at the Detroit Medical Center, and also completed her fellowship in medical oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Krishnan has admitting privileges at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia.
